We devised this service to assist those who wish to sell their collections, we appreciate that some vendors are uncertain as to the value of their stamps we feel they would like honest advise on their TRUE up to date sale value. A large proportion of the collections we handle are from recommendations from clients that have been guided by our expert advise.
HOW THE SCHEME OPERATES
On receipt of particulars of your collection we then arrange to send a valuer to your home, we prefer to travel with one or two other calls in your area to avoid unnecessary travel, if urgent we will consider making a special visit. On arrival our expert examines your stamps and informs you of the figure your stamps will realise, no charge is made for the valuation and you are under no obligation to sell through us. You may wonder "How can they give this service without cost when you may not sell through them" we have been giving this service longer than any other Auction house, it is important that we acquire collections for sale, this way at least we get the opportunity to compete, it has achieved results, as we maintain a supply of collection for our sales. If we feel that your collection is of insufficient value for us to send a valuer to your home, we are still prepared to value your stamps FREE, but they have to be sent by registered or insured post. We have been giving this service for over 40 years WITHOUT TRAVELLING CHARGES - Due to the high cost of travel and time, we regret that in future we will be making a charge to travel to your home. It is based on the distance our valuer has to travel from London, if possible he will try to include one or two other calls in your area which will allow us to apportion the charge. (a) If you agree his sale value by either Auction or Private Treaty you allow him to take stamps away for diposal on day of visit NO TRAVELLING WILL APPLY. (b) Should you decide not to go ahead with the sale YOU WILL BE LIABLE for a travelling fee of £25-00 inclusive of V.A.T. (This fee will be increased for visits over 150 miles from London). |
